2014 Day of Giving

dayofgivingGreater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation is participating in the “Day of Giving,” being sponsored by The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County and The Pittsburgh Foundation, on Tuesday, May 6, from 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. (midnight.) Gifts received on the Day of Giving will help support the newly created “Greater Latrobe Safety and Security Fund.” Your gift will help the Greater Latrobe School Community take a proactive approach for safety and security for our students and staff.

As you may know, Greater Latrobe School District received a Safe Schools grant that is assisting with creating a School Resource Officer position. The School Resource Officer will enhance the safety and security in Greater Latrobe schools by providing enhanced security, build positive student relationships and improve the overall school climate. The first project of the Greater Latrobe Safety and Security Fund is to seek support for the new School Resource Officer Project in Greater Latrobe School District.

On May 6, please consider making a generous tax-deductible donation to support the Greater Latrobe Safety and Security Fund through westmorelandgives.org and select the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation. GLPIEF is asking the Greater Latrobe School Community to consider making an online gift as there is a special matching opportunity available on the Day of Giving. All gifts between $25 and $1,000 designated to the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation will be matched by additional funding available only on the Day of Giving.

Thank you, in advance, for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Maryann White
President – Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation
