Latrobe Wildcat Football Alumni Association to hold dinner to benefit the Coach Findley Scholarship Fund of the GLPIEF | August 25, 2018

The Latrobe Wildcat Football Alumni Association INAUGURAL KICK-OFF ANNUAL DINNER will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Huber Hall in Latrobe.  All proceeds benefit the Coach Findley Scholarship Fund of the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation.  Tickets are $50 and $25 of your dinner ticket is a deductible charitable contribution. About the Coach Findley Scholarship Fund: Greater Latrobe Alumni that have come together to start a scholarship fund in memory of Coach Chuck Findley with the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation. This Fund will annually award a scholarship in memory of Charles “Chuck” Findley to a graduating senior on the Wildcat Football team. Chuck Findley coached for Greater Latrobe for 12 years from 1956 to 1968 winning four Foothills Conference championships in 1959, 1960, 1965 and 1968. The 1968 team won the WPIAL Football Championship. Coach Findley made a lasting impact on the lives of so many of his players/students and this Fund was established to make sure his legacy lives on forever. After retiring from teaching (social studies) and coaching, Findley served as an administrator in Greater Latrobe School District.Coach Findley provided his students and players with many of the tools to be productive citizens that ultimately led to successful lives. During the twilight of Coach Findley’s life, his wife Pat was diagnosed with ALS and he believed his greatest life achievement was caring for her during her illness.
