A Wildcat Gator!

GatorThe Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation donates a new Wildcat Gator to Greater Latrobe School District.  Michael J. Rossi, GLPIEF vice – president, presented the customized John Deere vehicle to Elizabeth Christopher, student team trainer; Ava Petrosky, Wildcat mascot; Athletic Director Mark Mears, Principal Steven LoCascio in the Greater Latrobe Senior High Commons Area.

The Wildcat gator was 100% donated to GLPIEF by the following businesses: West Central Equipment, Youngs Autobody, Signs by Tomorrow and PPG.  The Wildcat gator will be used at the new Athletic/Wellness Complex.  It will help maintain the new field surfaces, carry equipment and support team trainers and managers.

GLPIEF is a 501©(3) organization dedicated to encouraging community-wide participation and philanthropy to enrich the opportunities of Greater Latrobe school students.   The Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation’s mission is to ensure the highest level of education innovation supporting GLSD students, faculty and staff with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning through philanthropic and volunteer opportunities.  Its first project is the A+ Campaign which is a major, comprehensive capital campaign to seek philanthropic support for the 3 A’s: Academics, Arts and Athletics.  For more information about the GLPIEF or the A+ Campaign for Greater Latrobe School District contact Jessica Golden, Director of Development, at 724-539-4220.
